Anasazi Mimbres Family of Turkey Hunters

US$250.00

Up for your consideration is a replication of a Mimbres bowl depicting what appears to be a family or clan of turkey hunters in pursuit of their prey.  The Mimbres Culture existed from circa 200 to 1150 A.D. but are today best known for their legacy of small to medium sized ceramic bowls upon which they exquisitely rendered the natural world that surrounded them. "Family of Turkey Hunters" was recreated at Starling Black Studio in the White Mountains of Arizona. The studio strives to recreate realistic replications of original artifacts. Primitive techniques and processes are used to build, render, and paint these vessels which have the appearance of actual artifacts when completed. If you love archeology and have an appreciation for the primitive arts then I believe you will not be disappointed in our work. Thank you for looking.
